Adam Milner explora os sistemas de suporte e os vestígios sutis do dia a dia que muitas vezes passam despercebidos. Seu trabalho nasce de uma acumulação cuidadosa e da preservação de objetos e momentos cotidianos, em que ele utiliza rotinas e regras para extrair aspectos variados da vida — como dormir, comer, caminhar, trabalhar, ou mesmo viver relacionamentos. Fragmentos íntimos são reinterpretados e transformados, assumindo formas que vão de esculturas e desenhos a textos e imagens. No processo de reconfiguração que acontece em seu próprio lar, esses elementos ganham novos significados, convidando o público a refletir sobre a natureza material das conexões sociais.
Com um foco especial em objetos encontrados e prontos para uso, Milner questiona como preservamos, exibimos e contextualizamos o que nos cerca. Ele traz influências de museus, arquivos, espaços comerciais e domésticos para desconstruir hierarquias e expectativas sobre guardar, cuidar e compartilhar. Seus projetos desafiam os limites entre o público e o privado, trabalho e lazer, ao mesmo tempo em que exploram as complexidades de como nos relacionamos com as coisas que criamos e consumimos.
Reconhecendo o papel único do artista nesse universo, Milner reflete sobre as experiências emocionais que emergem da vivência criativa. Baseado no Brooklyn, Nova York, Milner já apresentou seus trabalhos em diversos contextos, como galerias, museus, espaços públicos, plataformas online e até mesmo em sua própria casa. Ele também desenvolveu projetos em diálogo com arquivos de instituições renomadas, como o Warhol Museum, o Clyfford Still Museum e a coleção Greer Lankton do Mattress Factory.
